He was predeceased by: his parents, Florian Weis and Emma Weis (Heldt); his wife Antoinette "Toni" McCaskey; his sister Barbara Gatton; and his cousins, Rosemary Schlosser, Jean Todd and Carole Jester.
He is survived by: his children, John Weis (Laura) of Savoy and Karen Weis of Champaign; and his grandsons, Mason and Spencer Weis. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
A Mass of Christian burial was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 from 10:30 AM to 11:15 AM at the Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church (1725 S Walnut St, Springfield, IL 62704). A Mass was held on Friday, December 6th 2024 at 11:30 AM at the same location.
