She was predeceased by: her parents, Bill Heck and Adeline Heck of Rantoul. She is survived by: her pets, Kane and Noel; her children, Delina Long (Kyle), Charity Kolakowski and Bobby Kolokowski (Ashley); her grandchildren, Heaven Leigh Davis and Kye Nathaniel Davis; and her siblings, Curtis Heck (Jackie), Rosemary Schimansky (Monticello), Kathy Groves, Jeffrey Heck (Cheryl), Bill Heck (Cindy) and Michelle Burroughs.
In lieu of flowers, it was Joanne's wish that memorials be made to Parkland College LPN Program, to honor her life's work and devotion to the service of others.
