He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert J. Gaston and Nora Gaston (O'Brien); his siblings, John Gaston and Mary Rieck; his son-in-law Gary Jenkins; and his niece Carol Rieck-Hahn.
He is survived by: his wife Ann Rich; and his children, JoAnn Jenkins of Bloomington, IL, Karen Sims (Billy) of Saunemin, Jean McGuffin of Pontiac and James "Jim" Gaston (Shelah) of Emington. He is also survived by 10 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren; 7 great great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
Memorials in Robert's name may be made to the United Methodist Church of Saunemin or the Alzheimer's Association.
