He was predeceased by: his parents, John A. Eggenberger and Anna Eggenberger (Arnolts); his siblings, Alfred Eggenberger, Leona Gish, Betty Folks and Velda Mullen; and his brother-in-law Harold Freeland.
He is survived by: his children, John "Arnie" Eggenberger (Teresa) of Chenoa, Mark Eggenberger of Saunemin and Kristina Brunner (Gary) of Pontiac; his grandchildren, Courtney Blair (AJ), Nicole McKee (Chad), Garrett Brunner, Griffin Brunner and Thomas Eggenberger; his stepgrandchildren, Caroline Brown (Eric), Robert McBride and Elizabeth McBride; his great grandchild Madeline McKee; his sister Evelyn Freeland of Fairbury; and his siblings-in-law, Richard and Marjorie VonQualen.
