He was predeceased by: his parents, William Fahrner and Frances Fahrner (Steinle); and his siblings, Jim, Tom and Margaret (Parvin).
He is survived by: his wife Mary-Gwyn Fahrner (Moloney); his children, Erica Gorski (Ryan), Bill Fahrner (Danielle) and Jamie Fahrner (Kate); his grandchildren, Zoey, Lucy, Aiden, Mason and Olivia; and his siblings, Nancy Meskill (Cecil), Kathy Gore, David (Cyndie), John and Paul (Jane).
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Marianjoy Rehabilitation Hospital, Wheaton, IL.
