Hettinger of Sandwich, Illinois, born in Aurora, Illinois, who passed away on May 25, 2024, at the age of 82, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hettinger and Christine Hettinger; his wife Ruthanne Kingsley; his daughters, Marge and Tina Schultz; and his grandson Bradley Hettinger.
He is survived by: his children, Ron Hettinger (Rebecca) of Bessemer, MI, Anne Deutsch (Mike) of Yorkville, IL, Judy Quick (Chris) of Macomb, MI and Joe Hettinger (Dana) of Hawthorn Woods, IL; his son-in-law Jim Schultz of North Aurora, IL.; his grandchildren, Peter, Ryan, Patrick, Michael, Christine, Madelyn, Hailey, Molly, Anne, Alexander, Kaylee, Tyler, Lauren and Allison; his great grandchildren, Nolan, Luca and Emelia; and his siblings, Dolores Kellen, Carole Elsner, Lois Haag, Rita Crimmins, Frank Hettinger, Tom Hettinger and Bob Hettinger. He is also survived by numerous in-laws, cousins, nieces, nephews, and godchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made in Peter's honor to the Aurora Catholic Education Foundation (ACEF), Aurora Central Catholic High School, or a charity of the donor's choice.
