With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Michael Lee Breunig M. D. (Sandwich, Illinois), who passed away on February 2, 2020 at the age of 70. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.

He was predeceased by: his parents, Gerald Breunig and Mary Breunig (Scott). He is survived by: his brother Scott; his sister-in-law Karen Breunig of Newark; his nephew Dan Breunig (Jennifer) of Newark; and also, Von and Jon.

“In loving memory of Michael Lee Breunig M.D., Our thoughts and prayers are with you and your family during this difficult time. I graduated from medical school in Rockford with Michael in June 1976 and we were roommates and close friends our junior and senior year in medical school. I have always enjoyed by time with Michael. I give his family my thoughts and prayers and he was always so friendly and kind to me and my family. I will miss dearly and sorry we did not stay in closer contact.”
