He was predeceased by: his parents, Ralph Bastian and Maude Bastian (Fay); his grandson Drew Vermeland; and his brother Harley Bastian. He is survived by: his significant other Darlene J. Carr; his children, Sue Vermeland (Lloyd) of Sandwich, IL and Scott Bastian of Sandwich, IL; his grandson Derek Vermeland; and his sister-in-law Marge Bastian of Hinckley, IL.
