He is survived by: his father Roger Welte; his wife Laurel Welte; his daughters, Cheryl Hellyer (David) and Caroline Welte; his grandson Willow Hellyer; and his siblings, Brian Welte (Diane), Phil Welte, Dana Welte, Sheila Burroughs (Richard) and Valerie Auber (Jim).
