Gary Burnette Gaffney Obituary
With solemn hearts, we announce the passing of Gary Burnette Gaffney of Sandwich, Illinois, born in Ottawa, Illinois, whose presence will be deeply missed, having departed on July 6, 2024 at the age of 85. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Clyde Gaffney and Jennie Joanna Gaffney (Valsano); and his siblings, Phyllis Baker and Lloyd Knutson. He is survived by: his wife Marion J. Sandell; his children, Debora Sowers of Elgin, Lori Johannessen of Sandwich, Rick Gaffney (Martina) of Grand Junction, Joni Probst of Yorkville, Jeff Pruter (Anna) of Elgin and Jim Pruter (Gail Walz) of Sandwich; and his nephew Gary Baker. He is also survived by seventeen grandchildren; twenty-four great-grandchildren; two great-great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be directed to St. John's Lutheran Church.
