He was predeceased by: his parents, James S. S. and Violet Palmer (Kiesewetter); and his siblings, Jim Palmer, Benjamin, Baby Boy Palmer, Betty Snyder and Netress McMullen.
He is survived by: his children, Bruce Palmer (Cathy) of Sante Fe, NM, Lisa Olson (Dan) of Coal Valley, IL and Stacy Powell (Ray) of Sandwich, IL.; his grandchildren, Jenny, Brian, Sarah Palmer, Andrew Olson (Amber), Amy Lindeman (Cody), Megan Olson, Emily, Samuel, Charles, Benjamin, Margaret and Valerie Powell; his great grandchildren, Brooks, Octavia Olson and Cora Lindeman; and his sister-in-law Mary Palmer of Lexington, KY. He is also survived by nieces and nephews and many friends.
