It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Tom Holstlaw of Sandoval, Illinois, who passed away on September 4, 2023, at the age of 87, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his mother Flossie Holstlaw (Pigg); his wife Ruth Ann "Teddy" Basola; his son Kevin Dwaine Holstlaw; his father Robert Holstlaw; his siblings, Leroy Holstlaw, Dwain Holstlaw, William "Bill" Holstlaw (Shirley) and Ethel Bowers; his siblings-in-law, Lewis Basola and Donna Timmons; and his close friend Carolyn Seats.
He is survived by: his sons, Brian Dale Holstlaw (Teresa Oberlin) of Columbus and Todd Allen Holstlaw (Megan) of Columbus, Ohio; his grandchildren, Ashley Ann Bender (Buddy) of Centralia, Blake Holstlaw (Kathryn) of Iuka, Zachery Johnson (Nicole) of Atlanta, Georgia of Columbus, Ohio, Caden Johnson of Columbus, Ohio and Emma Johnson of Columbus, Ohio; his great grandchildren, Braiden Gray, Brooklyn Bender, Brysen Bender, Briley Bender, Brian Bender, Hayden Irvin and Trevin Lewis; and his siblings-in-law, Barb Sullivan, Mary Basola and Joe Basola (Judy). He is also survived by nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.
Memorials may be made in Tom's honor to St. Jude's Children's Hospital, Peaceful Valley Cemetery, the American Cancer Society or Muscular Dystrophy Association.
