He was predeceased by: his parents, Robert R. DeKalb and Hilda DeKalb; his former wife Sharon Miller; and his niece Ellen Lynn Ann Stocking. He is survived by: his wife Linda Beckmann; his children, Jennifer Kennedy of Findlay, Ohio and Michael DeKalb (Charlene) of Baldwin Park, California; his siblings, Chris DeKalb (Susan) of Yorkville, Gary DeKalb (Patty) of Wentzville, Danny DeKalb (Lori) of Norman, Oklahoma, Stephanie McManaman of Sandoval and Robbyn Stocking (Scott) of Irvington, Illinois; his siblings-in-law, Paulette of Waltonville, Monte Kerley of Waltonville, Joseph Beckmann of Waltonville, Jennifer of Waltonville, Richard Jones of Waltonville, Neil of Waltonville, Julie Beckmann of Waltonville, Teresa, Robin Goatey of Sandoval, Mark and Sherran Beckmann of Texas; his granddaughters, Kayla Kennedy (Jake Webb) and Megan Blair (Matte); his great grandchild Emogene Blair; his niece Kate Stocking; and also, Ruth and Michael Johnston.
In memory of Phillip, memorial donations may be made to Sandoval Fire Department, or Six Lemons, or to Centralia Humane Society and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street in Centralia, Illinois 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the DeKalb family.
