With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Lela Johnson (Sandoval, Illinois), born in Centralia, Illinois, who passed away on December 21, 2024 at the age of 95. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Lela Johnson to pay them a last tribute.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Frank Smith and Mabel Smith; her husband Floyd G. Johnson; her daughter Carol L. Davis; and her sister Marjorie Seats.
She is survived by: her sons, Alan D. Johnson (Karen) of Centralia and Gerald Johnson (Becky) of Belleville; her son-in-law Tom Davis of Elkhart, Indiana.; her grandchildren, Christina Crist (Geoff) of Elkhart, Amy Showmaker (Dave) of Belleville and Andy Johnson (Kristi) of Belleville; and her great grandchildren, Shelby, Sydney, Garrett Crist, Katie, Abby Showmaker, Dane and Quinn Johnson.
A graveside service will be held on Friday, December 27th 2024 from 2:00 PM to 2:30 PM at the Hillcrest Memorial Park (2500 Old 51 Rd, Sandoval, IL 62882).
In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to the SSM Hospice and/or Calumet Street Christian Church.
