He was predeceased by: his parents, Earl Edwin and Marian Taylor (Burley); his son Gary Taylor; and his siblings, Charles Taylor, Mary Thompson, Willie Taylor, Robert Taylor, Ann Sumner and Hugh Taylor.
He is survived by: his former wife Alice Taylor of Sandoval; his son Joey Taylor (Teresa Taylor) of Salem, Illinois; his grandchildren, Shae Marie Taylor of DuQuoin, Jennifer Taylor of Eldorado and Raven Taylor of DuQuoin; his great grandchildren, Febe and Navana Clay; his siblings, John Taylor, Thomas Taylor of Mount Vernon, James Taylor (Kathy) of Yuma, Sarah Lovin of Illinois and Margaret Whitton (Bill) of Magnolia, Texas; and his sister-in-law Ligaya Taylor. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
Memorials may be made in Joseph's honor to Hughey Funeral Home to assist with funeral expenses.
