He was predeceased by: his parents, Harold Hoffman and Ruth Hoffman (Bayne); and his siblings, Patricia Votaw, Duane Hoffman, Martha Kinnamon and Ray Hoffman.

He is survived by: his wife Dorothy Thompson; and his children, Linda Wempen (Richard) of Assumption, IL, Diane, Lincoln and Mark (RaJean). He is also survived by 10 Grandchildren and 8 Great Grandchildren.
