He was predeceased by: his parents, Melvin Leroy Helm and Winifred Helm (Helstand); and his wife Cheryl Holsapple-Helm. He is survived by: his former wife Carla Dodson; his children, Holly Mansell (Phillip) of Odin, Cortney Helm-Tate (Curtis) of Salem, Ashley Helm of Salem and Kevin Brown of Odin; his grandchildren, Elizabeth Mansell, Zachary Mansell, Emilee Tate and Karissa Moore; and his siblings, Ruth Ann Jeter (Frank) of Texas, Robin Helm of Salem, David Helm (Linda) of Sikeston, MO, Howard Phillips (Cindy) of Iuka and Clifford Phillips (Jennie) of Salem. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.
In honor of Marshall, memorial donations may be made to the family and will be accepted by the Sutherland-Garnier Funeral Home at 235 North Sycamore Street in Centralia, IL 62801 (618) 532-3523, who is honored to be of service to the Helm family.
