It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Margaret Stephens Shaffer of Salem, Illinois, who passed away on August 7, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
She was predeceased by: her parents, Roy W. Stephens and Ethel Stephens (Kagy); her husband David L. Shaffer; and her siblings, Lyle Stephens, Neale Stephens, Navy and Marie Turner.
She is survived by: her children, Twila Kincaid (Lynn) of Salem and Richard Shaffer (Carole) of Salem; her grandchildren, Cheryl Easley of Salem, Michael R. Easley (Laura) of Colorado Springs, CO, Matthew Easley (Alicia) of Scott, AR, Robyn Duncan (Dustin) of Salem and Janessa Vandeveer (Bret) of Salem; and her great grandchildren, Haley Duncan, Hannah Duncan, Avery Easley, Levi Vandeveer and Ryder Vandeveer.
The family suggest memorials be made to Alzheimer's Research, or the Donor's choice and may be left with Sutherland - Rankin Funeral Home, 310 N. Broadway, P.O. Box 97, Salem, IL 62881 (618) 548-1234, entrusted with the family's care.
