He was predeceased by: his parents, Author Lanham and Mary Belle Lanham (Wigginton); his siblings, Will Lanham, Kenny Lanham, Bobby Lanham, Ronnie Lanham, Sara Jean Lanham-Shewmaker, Pearlie Mae Lanham-Spaulding and Patsy Lanham-Milburn; and his son-in-law Bill Weatherford.
He is survived by: his daughters, McKenzie "Missy" Lanham of Mount Vernon, IL, Ada Weatherford of Salem, IL, Mary Dietrich (Charlie) of Kentucky and Carol Shipley (Mike) of Kentucky; his stepsons, Thomas White, Larry White of Salem, IL, Kevin and Anthony White of Edgewood, IL; and his siblings, James Richard Lanham of Kentucky, Donnie Lanham of Kentucky, Jerry Lanham of Kentucky, Betty Lanham Boblet of Kentucky and Judy Lanham of Kentucky. He is also survived by several grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great-grandchildren.
