He was predeceased by: his parents, James C. Michael and Ruby Michael (Russell) of Iuka; his wife Judy Ann Michael (Lane); and his brother Charles Michael. He is survived by: his children, Jeff Michael (Michelle Michael) of Effingham and Marcy Jimenez (Tony Jimenez) of Texas; his grandchildren, Anthony Michael (McKenzie), Josey Charlton (Drew), Travis Michael (Tegan), Tony Jimenez Jr., Whitney Hughes (Evan), Levi Michael, Collin Fitzwater (Kacie), Jantzen Michael, Isaiah Michael, Isabella Jimenez, Isaac Jimenez and Malachi Michael; his great grandchildren, Emerald Charlton, Athena Michael, Beckham Hughes, Sunny Charlton, Björn Michael, Beau Hughes and June Charlton; and his siblings, Donna Jones, Marla Southers and Kenneth Michael.
Memorials may be made in loving memory of Gary to Oil Belt Christian Service Camp in Flora, Illinois.
