It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Edward Lee Boyd of Salem, Illinois, who passed away on July 24, 2020, at the age of 84, leaving to mourn family and friends. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Edward Lee Boyd to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Glen Boyd and Geneva "Bebe" Boyd (Sipes); and his wife Ida Boyd (Norris). He is survived by: his daughters, Jan Will (Randy) of St. Louis, Missouri, Nancy Starr of Omaha, Nebraska, Amy Telford (Doug) of Salem, AnnaLee Boyd of Kansas City, Missouri and Sara Boyd of St. Louis; his grandchildren, Caitlin Link, Zachary Will, Ashley, Amy Anne Starr and Maggie Telford; his great grandchild Brianna; and his close friend Lola Devall of Vandalia, Illinois..
Per his wishes, friends are invited to a joyous celebration of life service, held at the Salem Presbyterian Church, Saturday, Aug. 8, at 2 p. m., following a visitation from 1-2 p. m. Due to the current pandemic, masks will be required and social distancing will be observed at the church.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Salem Presbyterian Church or Feline Friends Chicago, who are fostering his beloved cat Ella (please contact a family member for information to make a memorial).
