She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Harry H. Farthing and Marguerite Farthing (Leckrone); her husband Roy J. Gatewood; her daughters, Gae Gatewood of Freelandville, IN and Rae Gruenkemeyer (Greg) of Salem; her grandchildren, Kyle Gruenkemeyer (Katie) of Imperial, MO, Kacy Greer (Ethan) of Chattanooga, TN and Ashley Archer (Randy) of Freelandville, IN.; and her great grandchildren, Kaleb, Avery Archer, Eli, Josie and Sydney Gruenkemeyer.

Memorials may be made to the Grace United Methodist Church in Salem, and will be accepted by the Sutherland - Rankin Funeral Home, 310 N. Broadway, P.O. Box 97, Salem, IL 62881 (618) 548-1234, entrusted with the family's care.
