Ronald Alan Kirts Obituary
It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Ronald Alan Kirts of Sainte Marie, Illinois, born in Olney, Illinois, who passed away on April 8, 2023, at the age of 86, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Harley Kirts and Lena Kirts (Alblinger); his brother Larry; his sister-in-law Donna Kirts; his parents-in-law, Viola and George Litzelman; and his son-in-law Greg Burdette.
He is survived by: his wife Carolyn Litzelman; his sister Joan Heneberry (Don); his children, Rhonda Kirts of Champaign, Illinois, Karla Hutchinson (Jeff) of Littleton, Colorado, John Kirts (Becky) of Manteno and Terry Kirts of Indianapolis, Indiana; his grandchildren, Cole Boyett, Emma McFarland (Theo) and Shelby Hutchinson; and his children, Alex Kirts, Kristin Kirts, Lena Burdette and Rachel Burdette.
He served as a board member and Treasurer of the Sainte Marie Foundation. As a board member, he helped to oversee the donation of his childhood home to the Foundation and assisted with the renovation of the house into the current Foundation House.
