He was predeceased by: his parents, Peter Ochs and Ida Ochs (Zuber); his former wife Dorothy Klingler; his spouse Romonna Hunzinger (Copper); his children, Leo Ochs, Allen Ochs and JoAnn Mette (Kenneth); his daughter-in-law Mary Ochs; and his siblings, Herman, Gilbert, Philip, Lester, Rose Rubsam, Henrietta Deimel, Charlene Miller and Bernadine Kuenstler.
He is survived by: his children, Harold Ochs of Newton, Illinois, Carol Hahn (Don) of Claremont, Illinois, Sharon Watson of Newton, Illinois, Mary Helregel (Ken) of Dundas, Illinois, Neil Ochs of Olney, Illinois, Helen Grunloh (Andrew) of Teutopolis, Illinois, Kathy Helregel (David) of Ste. Marie, Illinois and Thresa Robards (Brad) of Dieterich; his sister Eunice Schackmann of Newton; and his sister-in-law Georgia Klingler of Olney. He is also survived by 28 Grandchildren and 32 Great-grandchildren.
