Merle Schaal Obituary
With heavy hearts, we announce the death of Merle Schaal (Saint Peter, Illinois), who passed away on August 25, 2019 at the age of 85. Leave a sympathy message to the family on the memorial page of Merle Schaal to pay them a last tribute.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Edward Schaal and Linda Schaal (Knecht); his wife Doris Schaal; and his brothers, Leon Schaal and Marvin Schaal.
He is survived by: his daughters, Cheryl Hollowell (Argus) of Farina, Christine Halterman (Randy) of St. Peter and Dena Greenwood (Michael) of Farina, Illinois; and his siblings, Lavern Schaal of Mattoon, Illinois, Lorraine Sasse of Lincoln and Phyllis Lynch (Jerry) of Arroyo Grande, California. He is also survived by seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and one great-great-grandchild.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to St. Peter's Lutheran Church in St. Peter, Illinois.
