He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Magnus and Ella Magnus; his stepfather August Bergmann; his sister Arlene Lee; and his brothers-in-law, Harold Campe, Delbert Campe and Eldon Campe.
He is survived by: his wife Esther Marie Magnus of St. Peter, Illinois; his sons, Larry Edward, Lynn Lavern Magnus (Missy) of St. Peter and Scott Allen Magnus (Debbie) of Carlyle, Illinois; his grandchildren, Torrey Magnus (Jill), Tyler Magnus, Tiffany James (Dean), Staci Jahraus, Shannon Magnus, Scarlett Vanzo (Joe), Sawyer Magnus and McKenzie Magnus; his great grandchildren, Fischer, Madyson, Max, Aidan, Avery, Alec, Nicco, Charles, Dexton and Davin; his siblings, Hilmer Magnus (Ruth) of St. Peter, Illinois, Melinda Hinton (Orville) of St. Elmo and Delores Ford (Darrell) of Tuscola, Illinois; his sisters-in-law, Alice Jones (Vernie) of Bethany, Lorene Shroeder of Altamont, Norma Jean Campe of Altamont and Belva Schaefer of St. Peter; and also Lavern.
