He was predeceased by: his parents, Floyd Baker and Mary Baker (Hoelscher). He is survived by: his children, Chad Baker (Ciara) of Oakwood and Kimberly Snyder (Tim) of St. Louis, MO; his stepchildren, Shane McDowell (Danielle) of Salem and Caitlin McDowell; his siblings, Dennis Baker, Susan McMullen (Robert), Ruth Kersey, Jane Scheer, Timothy Baker (Diane) and Nancy Baker; and his niece Jessica Epperson. He is also survived by cousins, nieces and nephews; and endless friends and family.
Visitation was held on Monday, January 20th 2025 from 3:00 PM to 5:00 PM at the Bauer Funeral Home (1212 W Evergreen Ave, Effingham, IL 62401).
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to one of the charitable organizations John supported.
