He was predeceased by: his parents, James Arthur Gelsinger and Neoma Gelsinger Lancaster (Carrico); his wife Betty June (Craig); and his brothers, Charles Gelsinger and Junior Gelsinger.
He is survived by: his children, Randy Gelsinger (Sandy) of Brownstown, Vicki (Danny Koonce) of Brownstown, Cathy (Roy Sasse) of St. Peter, Christy (Mark Hebert) of Ramsey and Bobbye (Dave Williams) of Vandalia; his sister Ilene Kleinik of Mulberry Grove; and his grandchildren, Kim Frutiger, Justin Smith, Brad Koonce (Michelle), Derrick Gelsinger, Carrie (Jim Sellers), Mandy (Paul Ruholl), Craig Sasse, Serena Everett, Morgan Cook, Justin Buerster, Makayla Cook and Wyatt Marley. He is also survived by 9 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces, nephews, extended family.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the First Christian Church (516 W Cumberland Rd, Brownstown, IL 62418). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 1st 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
In lieu of flowers and gifts, memorials may be made to an organization of the donor's choice.
