She was predeceased by: her parents, William and Mary; her husband William R. Carey; and her son William R. Carey Jr.. She is survived by: her daughters, Joann C. Steenken and Catherine Carey. She is also survived by six grandchildren & 3 great grandchildren.

In lieu of flowers, Rita would appreciate donations be made to St. Joseph Home, Palatine, IL which provided loving support during her final days.
