He was predeceased by: his parent Mary Ida Ash. He is survived by: his wife Rose Ann Bewley (Hannon); his children, Amy Hottman (Troy) of Tolono, Doug Bewley of Urbana, Steve Bewley (Valerie) of St. Joseph and Kevin Bewley (Sarah) of St. Joseph; and his sisters, Julianne Blakley (Cecil) of Mahomet and Mollie Lasater (John) of Bremerton, Washington.. He is also survived by seven grandchildren.
