We bid farewell to Rosa L. Lockeby of Saint Jacob, Illinois, whose journey of life gracefully concluded on December 28, 2024 at the age of 89. Rosa touched countless lives with warmth and kindness, leaving behind cherished memories that will forever echo in hearts. She was predeceased by: her parents, Milton Valentine "Dick" Schiefer and Rosina Louise Schiefer; her son Ricki Lee Lockeby; and her son-in-law Randy A. Grater, Sr.. She is survived by: her husband James R. "Jim" Lockeby of Saint Jacob, IL; her daughter Vicki L.; her grandchildren, Randy A. "Adam" Grater, Jr. of Highland, IL, Misty Lynn Jones (Matthew) of Bradington, FL and Erica; her great grandchildren, Derek "DJ" Grater, Joseph P. Grater, McKenzie David, Mason Ryan, Matalyn Grace Jones, Gavin Anthony Reese Stoops, Samantha Kelsay, Austin Scott Zajac, Hunter Flemming and Tate Flemming; her brothers, Richard Schiefer of Saint Jacob, IL, Robert Schiefer of Aviston, IL and Walter Schiefer of Saint Jacob, IL.; her grandchildren, Randallynn R. Grater and Sandra Lee Stoops; and her sister Anna Nungesser.
Visitation was held on Friday, January 3rd 2025 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM and on Saturday, January 4th 2025 from 8:00 AM to 10:00 AM at the Spengel-Boulanger Funeral Home - Highland (1501 9th St, Highland, IL 62249). A funeral service was held on Saturday, January 4th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the same location.
