It is with great sadness that we announce the death of George Melton Jr. of Saint Jacob, Illinois, born in Poplar Bluff, Missouri, who passed away on December 18, 2020, at the age of 89, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his wife Patricia Melton; his children, Joe Melton and Judy Melton; his granddaughter Jami Prader; his parents, George Sr. Melton and Gladys Melton; and his brothers, Melvin F., Elmer, Eugene, Richard and Allen Melton.
He is survived by: his children, Brian Melton of St. Jacob, IL, Dean Melton of Granite City, IL, Loren Melton (Joann) of Las Vegas, NV and Aaron Melton of Peirron, IL; his grandchildren, April Coulson (Torsten), Haley Heinz (Brett), Shane Melton, Mariah Melton, Jennifer Heather (Eric) and Joshua Melton; his great grandchildren, Lola Miller, Tristan, Ava Audiss, Brecklynn Hicks, Clairissa Hilpert, Luna and Chloe Heinz; and his sister Juanita "Carol" Heuser (George) of Collinsville, IL. He is also survived by nieces, nephews, cousin and many friends.
