He was predeceased by: his parents, Harry Mason and Nellie; his siblings, Jack, Harry "Bus", George, Fred, Bennie, Mary Siegle, Helen Wease and Pauline Kasinger; his former wife Wilma Butler; the mother of his children Darlene Mason; his sons, Thomas Wesley Mason and Daniel Lee Mason; and his great grandchild Mason Smalley.
He is survived by: his children, Tammi Stokes (Ed) of Springfield, MO and Anthony Mason of Chatsworth, IL. He is also survived by 17 grandchildren: 20 great-grandchildren: and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.
