He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Hardig and Virginia Hardig (Greenwood). He is survived by: his wife Paulette Hardig of St. Elmo, Illinois; his children, Jeff Hardig of Altamont, Illinois, Kimberly Olinger (Dennis) of Palmer and Bobbi Newburn; and his sisters, Karen Edwards (Tom) of Florida, Janice Alspaugh of Florida and Nancy Spencer (Andy) of Tennessee. He is also survived by four grandchildren.
