He was predeceased by: his parents, Elmer C. Etherton and Gladys Etherton (Calvert); his sister Robin Etherton; his brother-in-law John Buchan; and his pet Buster.
He is survived by: his close friend Karen Lee of St. Elmo; his children, Corey Etherton (Myrandi) of Dover, TN, Michael Etherton (Amanda Lange) of LaClede and Amy Rushing (Dion) of Dover, TN; his stepson Joey Lee (Hannah) of Farina; his siblings, Paul Etherton of Clarksville, TN, Myron J. R. Bates of Murry, KY, Tinker Buchan of Lincoln, IL and Carla Cooksey (Tim) of New Concord, KY; and his close friend Jeremy Sanchez of Green Castle, IN. He is also survived by 8 grandchildren, and 5 great grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, memorials may go to the Second Chance Animal Rescue of Fayette County 602 W. Saint Louis Ave. Vandalia, Illinois 62471, to the family for expenses, or the donor's choice.
