It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Shirley M. Van Winkle of Saint Charles, Illinois, born in Dahlgren, Illinois, who passed away on January 4, 2024, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. She was predeceased by: her parents, Cyrus Allen and Jessie Pearl Klinker Allen; her husband Carl Van Winkle Sr.; her daughter Tammy Thacker; and her siblings, Ernie, Lee, Paul, Dean and Eddie Ray.
She is survived by: her children, Debbie Henning (Ronald), Cindy Brereton (Glen) and Carl Van Winkle (Kelly); and her brother Roger Allen (Dorothy) of McLeansboro, IL.. She is also survived by 10 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren.
