He is survived by: his children, David (Joan) of Port Byron, IL, Stephen of McAllen, TX, Sharon Ofeldt of Ponte Vedra, Leslie Martens (Mike) of Geneva and Marcia Smith of St. Charles; his grandchildren, Erik Van Nest (Heather), Lindsay Griffin (Dan), Michael Ofeldt, Kristin Ofeldt, Jeff Martens (Stefanie), Elizabeth, Brad Martens, Charlie, Jack Smith, Brad Wingert and Jeff Wingert (Iulia); and his great grandchildren, Novalee, Travis, Taylor, Madison, Jayden and Olivia. He is also survived by his family and many friends.
