He was predeceased by: his parents, Raymond Rae and Viola Rae. He is survived by: his wife Sue Rae; his children, John Rae Jr. of Lake and Lisa Schmidt (Mark) of Elburn, Illinois; his sister-in-law Linda Colleran; and his grandchildren, Amanda Steger (Gage), Melissa Brundige (Clayton), Katelyn Schmidt (Mateusz), Emma Rae and Xander Rae. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
