He was predeceased by: his parents, John Johnston and Margaret Johnston. He is survived by: his wife Sue; his children, Deborah LePla (Glenn), Mary Beth Connolly (Bill), Jean Carley (John) and Michael Johnston; his grandchildren, Rachel Helgerson (Nate), Justin LePla, Sean Connolly (Jenelle), Alexandra Zurita (Efrain), Colleen Davis (Joe), Colin Carley, Aimee LePla, Kathryn Carley, Tatum Johnston and Quinn Johnston; his great grandchildren, Jordan, Ethan Helgerson, Kinsey and Brayleigh Connolly; and his brother Richard Johnston (Mary Anne). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
