He is survived by: his wife Shirley; his sons, Jeffery Hoover (Lois) of Willitts, CA and Kurt Hoover (Melba) of Odessa, FL; his former wife Virginia Hoover (Burnidge); his grandchildren, Nicole Hoover (Gary Ellebracht), Gabriela Hoover and Jeri Lynn Hoover; his great grandchildren, Trevor Hampton and Luke Davis; his stepchildren, Steve Crane (Maribel) of Arecibo, PR and Linda Swick (Bill) of St. Charles, IL; his stepgrandchildren, Stephanie Watson (Robbie), David Swick, Joel Swick (Kirsten), Mark Andrews, Kristina Constant (Elijah), Joshua Crane and Kayla Crane; his stepgreat-grandchildren, Ivy, Iona and Shepherd Watson; his cousin Sandra Galetti of Ladd, IL; his niece Kim Spanos (Dan) of Delzelle, IL.; and his nephew Shawn Davis of California.
Visitation will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 10:00 AM at the Laird Funeral Home (310 S State St, Elgin, IL 60123). A funeral service will be held on Friday, February 28th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the same location.
