It is with deep sorrow that we announce the death of James Cody Hegland of Saint Charles, Illinois, born in Rochelle, Illinois, who passed away on November 9, 2023, at the age of 88, leaving to mourn family and friends. He was predeceased by: his parents, Francis Hegland and Roy Hegland; and his sister Sally Anderson. He is survived by: his wife Wyonne Hegland; his daughters, Melissa Weede (Scott) and Sarah Warner (Dan); his grandchildren, Jessica Hayward (Scott), TJ Jones (Lacey) and Megan McGowen (Billy); and his great grandchildren, Wyatt, Emma, Maverick, Harlie, Kylie, Waylyn and Taos. He is also survived by his family, friends.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests that donations be made to Congregational United Church of Christ at 40W451 Fox Mill Blvd, St. Charles in his memory.
