It is with great sadness that we announce the death of Gerald R. Schroeder of Saint Charles, Illinois, born in Wausau, Wisconsin, who passed away on February 17, 2025, at the age of 85, leaving to mourn family and friends. In the soft embrace of remembrance, we recall the profound impact Gerald R. had on those he encountered along his journey. Though Gerald R. may have slipped beyond the veil of mortality, his essence lingers like a faint fragrance in the air, a lingering reminder of the beauty and complexity of the human experience.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Arthur F. Schroeder and Mabel A. Schroeder; his spouse Prue Donoghue Schroeder; and his brother Donald A. Schroeder of Madison, WI.. He is survived by: his children, Michael Anson Schroeder of Chicago and H. Meehan Murphy of Fayetteville, GA; and his grandsons, Sean and Ryan Murphy.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 from 9:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Yurs Funeral Home (405 E Main St, St. Charles, IL 60174). A funeral service will be held on Saturday, February 22nd 2025 at 11:00 AM at the same location.
