He is survived by: his children, Erik Melson and Andrea Tran; his grandchildren, Ravyn Wheeler, Phoenix Wheeler, Harley Debenedetti, Badger Tran and Wren Tran; his great grandchild Athena Tegtmeier Wheeler; and his siblings, Bruce Melson, Trina Dougherty and Billie Lopez (Dave). He is also survived by nieces and nephews.
