He is survived by: his close friend Jeff Orland; his children, James Pierce of Sugar Land, TX, William Pierce of Algonquin, Steven Pierce of Pleasanton, CA and Kathleen "Cassie" Miller (David) of Lombard; his grandchildren, Catherine, Elizabeth, Nicholas, Michael, Christopher, Jordan, Brooke, Abby and Brittany; and his brothers, David (Gracie), Richard (Joyce) and Patrick (Barb). He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.
