She was predeceased by: her parents, George Vanderheyden and Julia Vanderheyden; and her husband John Howenstein. She is survived by: her niece Nikki; her siblings, Susan Smith, Marilyn Kanak (Michael), Michael (Laura), John (Sue) and Ronald Vanderheyden (Deneen); and her nieces and nephews, Eric Smith, Ryan Vanderheyden, Nicole Vanderheyden, Angela and Abigayle Vanderheyden.
