We are sad to announce that on August 1, 2023, at the age of 66, David Joseph Smith of Saint Charles, Illinois passed away. Family and friends are welcome to leave their condolences on this memorial page and share them with the family.
He was predeceased by: his parents, Charles Smith and Julie Smith; and his brother Richard Smith. He is survived by: his wife Catherine Smith; his children, Amy Gilbert (Jason), Lindsey Larson (Patrick), Michael DeYoung (Jill Laskero), Matthew DeYoung (Theresa), Justin DeYoung, Grace Gilbert, Gwen Gilbert, Jacob Gilbert, Breck DeYoung, Zita DeYoung, Sydney Larson, Brody Larson and Briar DeYoung; and his nephews, Nick (Kylie) and Luke Smith.
In lieu of flowers, donations in Dave's memory may be made to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital (stjude.org).
