She was loved and cherished by many people including: her parents, Walfred Savela and Lorraine Savela; her husband Lee Straumann; her children, Jason, Kyle and Kelsey; her sister Annette DeVries (Vincent); her nephew Justin DeVries (Jenny); and her niece Jade DeVries.
