“Two things about Mr. Yeksigian: 1) He never kicked me out of the house on Dickens even after coming home from one of his two jobs and seeing all his kids -- and me -- eating or otherwise loafing, and for that I am grateful (and amazed!). 2) He might be the only person to remember my frightening encounter with lightning while riding my bike northbound on Cicero one day while on my way to work. Did he really believe it was lightning? I don't know, but he let me tell my tale many times.”
