He is survived by: his wife Margaret Boose of Elgin; his children, Angela Severino (Mike) of Geneva, Tyson of Ohio and Kristen Leshinski (Doug) of St. Charles; his granddaughters, Madeline Severino of Chicago, Maria Schroeder (Keith) of Oswego and Julia Severino of Texas; his siblings, John of Buffalo Grove and Katharine Grimes (Steve) of St. Charles; and his nieces and nephews, Heather Grimes, Genevieve Grimes, Linda Condon (Steve), Neal Parker, Ethan Grimes and Parker Grimes.

Visitation was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 12:00 PM at the Yurs Funeral Home (405 E Main St, St. Charles, IL 60174). A funeral service was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 1:00 PM at the same location. A reception was held on Saturday, April 12th 2025 at 3:00 PM at the same location.

In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Anderson Humane Shelter or the Alzheimer's Society.

John Fell wrote a sympathy message

“Tom was the 1st person I met when we moving across the street in 2000. It was Spring and was opening the shed when I heard a screeching man’s voices say “HEY!!! HEY YOU!!”. I looked around and pointed at myself. “YEAH YOU!..COME HERE!!!” So I strolled across the street and Tom offers his hand and says. “Im Tom…welcome to the neighborhood”. In true Tom fashion was rough but welcoming. We shared many laughs. Gonna miss our verbal sparing about Bears / Packers. RIP Tom……John Fell”
