He was predeceased by: his parents, Paul Berls and Frances Berls; his sisters, Jean Boyd and Dorothy Weaver; and his granddaughter Julie Berls.
He is survived by: his wife Elizabeth Thompson (Betty); his sons, Charles II (Judy), Jeffrey (Michelle) and Wesley Travis (Sandi); and his grandsons, Charles III, Michael and Kevin.
